Account Management

An account manager will be responsible for ensuring that clients are completely satisfied with Medway Travel Management and the service being provided. He is also responsible for identifying more ways in which you can benefit from the use of our services.

It is crucial that documents for our travellers arrive on time.

Despite e-ticketing covering most air travel journeys, some journeys still require the use of hard copy documents. If such cases are also last minute bookings, we will always ensure personal delivery, at cost plus a nominal fee.

 

Flexible Billing

We are happy to accept payment by all the major credit cards or, subject to status and trade references, by Direct Debit. We also operate a Lodged Account system, which provides useful credit terms, excellent management information and easily reconciled statements.

Management Information

Clients are able to obtain complete information about their company’s travel expenditure from our computer systems.

Although Medway Travel Management usually achieves extensive savings on business travel spend, we believe it is important for financial decision-makers to be able to monitor their company’s travel expenditure.

We therefore provide either hard copy reports or email excel spread sheets, enabling the manipulation of the data, allowing you to ensure that your spending is in compliance with your company’s travel policy and budget.

 

 

Personal Service

As a regular client you will have one or two nominated senior travel consultants allocated to be your day-to-day point of contact for your company’s travel.

We believe in regularly monitoring our corporate accounts, to ensure that:

  • All potential benefits available to the client from within the industry, are brought to client's attention. If these are of interest, we will arrange for their implementation;
  • All opportunities for cost savings, or obtaining better value, are considered;
  •  Guidance is given on the raising of a suitable corporate travel policy and assisting in ensuring conformance;
  • The administration of travel within the client's organisation, and at the interface with Medway Travel is working smoothly and efficiently;
  • Clients are receiving the right mix of our travel services and Management Information to suit their needs;
  •  The client's priority criteria are clearly understood and applied by our staff , and that we keep up with client's changing needs.

David Pickard is our account manager and is directly responsible for our client care programme.

 

Travel Policy Consultancy

It has been generally found that the existence of a well managed travel policy can save 20 - 25% of the historic travel budget, even for organisations with modest travel budgets.

Many companies never get round to drafting and agreeing a travel policy with their staff, having insufficient previous experience to "break the ice". Medway Travel will be pleased to assist clients in the drafting of such a policy, its implementation and its ongoing monitoring.
