Opening of first integrated hotel and heliport
Brand new riverside hotel and spa, rooftop restaurant and executive international business suite planned for the site of London's Battersea Heliport.
Following the acquisition of London's Battersea Heliport, von Essen hotels plan to open a brand new riverside hotel and spa, rooftop restaurant and executive international business suite at Battersea, London.
With stunning views overlooking the River Thames, the new-build boutique style property will offer 70 contemporary designed guest rooms over seven floors.
The remarkable new design-led hotel will feature one of the capital’s premier dining venues with an exclusive rooftop restaurant. From its privileged vantage point, the restaurant will offer breathtaking 360 degree views over Battersea Reach and the 100-seat venue will bring an exciting addition to the capital’s thriving culinary scene.
The hotel will also offer an own brand state-of-the-art subterranean spa. Built over two floors, the spa will feature the latest in both hydrotherapy and chromatherapy technology. After cleansing the soul and experiencing some of the capital’s finest spa facilities, an after-hours members’ bar will allow guests to unwind whilst enjoying a glass of Champagne or one of the bar’s signature cocktails. Offering a sophisticated and dramatic setting, from the bar guests will enjoy sensational views of the city with the backdrop of the heliport and aircraft landing area in full visibility.
The hotel also boasts one complete floor of meeting space with seven rooms, 55 car parking places and triple glazing on all windows plus a shuttle service to Clapham Junction, the nearest train station.
The 50 year old Battersea Heliport will be demolished and the hotel will incorporate a heliport arrival and departure lounge, boardroom and a security lift from the car park.
