One&Only’s 6th property opens in Cape Town
This month sees the opening of One&Only Cape Town. Situated on the V&A waterfront, guestrooms are split between 91 rooms and suites within the central seven-storey Marina Rise and 40 villa-style suites on a specially-built island with the largest pool in Cape Town. A dedicated spa island has also been created.
The hotel brings Gordon Ramsay’s Maze and Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa to Africa for the first time.
It will have a tri-level wine loft with more than 6,000 bottles of South African wine, claimed to be the most comprehensive in the country and there will be a chef’s table within the wine case, as well as wine tastings.
The Spa Island will have 11 treatment rooms and operate with Espa, which has created signature treatments for the hotel. Espa is also to create a unique line of products for One&Only, set to launch at the end of the year.
Organic amenities have been customised for guestrooms. The range will also be available in the boutique Neo, in addition to brands such as Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Stella McCartney.
A kid’s club will also be a key feature, located next to an aquarium.
There will also be a strong opportunity for the MICE and weddings market at the hotel.
