The most beautiful cruise ship in the world

01 Dec 2008

On 18th December, MSC Fantasia (the largest ship ever built for a European ship owner) takes to the seas in Naples.

On 18th December, MSC Fantasia takes to the seas in Naples. It is the largest ship ever built for a European ship owner and is a travelling universe offering the maximum in entertainment and wellbeing.

The new flagship of the MSC Cruises fleet is a masterpiece of Italian style: a perfect mix of advanced technology, elegance and exclusive services. It has 27,000 m2 of public area: a wellbeing centre Aurea Spa, 5 restaurants, 4 swimming pools, 12 hydro-massage pools, coffee bars, shops, a children’s area, a Formula 1 simulator and an interactive 4 D cinema.

The Aurea Spa wellbeing centre offers avant garde treatments to enhance both your beauty and your health: therapeutic mud packs, perfumed vapours, aesthetic massages and much, much more.

MSC Fantasia will be the first ship to have an exclusive VIP area: the MSC Yacht Club with 99 spacious suites, a bar, solarium, 2 hydro-massage pools, 1 skydome swimming pool, a reserved observation lounge with bar, Concierge and a Observation Lounge at the front where glass windows will enable guests to make the most of the amazing views.

MSC Fantasia’s VIP area provides all the details of an elegant yacht unique amongst the entire range of cruise ship offers: walnut for the wall panelling and decorative inserts of Alcantara. All the furnishings have been carefully chosen for their elegance and sophistication.

For the very first time on board a ship, guests will walk on a Swarovski crystal floor. A transparent ceiling also permits the guests to experience all the magic of sailing as they gaze at the starlit skies.

A butler service will operate throughout the VIP area: offering assistance at check-in, overseeing the transport of luggage, unpacking and serving traditional English high tea. In addition the butler will arrange for cigars and wine, liquors and champagne and pre-book tables at the restaurants, spa treatments in the Aurea Spa, ad hoc excursions as chosen by the guest and even arrange a private party in cabins.

MSC Fantasia visits the Mediterranean on 12 day fly/cruises in 2009.
