News from Eurostar
Whether keen to ski, or interested in visiting the delights of Switzerland - this is for you.
For snow lovers, tickets are now on sale for direct Eurostar ski services from St Pancras International and Ashford International to the French Alps for the 2009-10 winter season.
Starting on Saturday 10 December 2009, services will run until Saturday 17 April 2010. Trains will stop at Moûtiers, Aime-la-Plagne and Bourg-St-Maurice, giving access to over 40 resorts, including top ski destinations such as Courchevel, La Plagne, Tignes, Méribel, and Les Arcs.
Travellers to Switzerland may be interested to know that Eurostar has introduced connecting fares to 18 key Swiss stations, including Aigle, Basel, Berne, Geneva and Zurich. Tickets are offered in conjunction with the high-speed operator Lyria, and are available from around £100 return.
