Eurostar cuts winter capacity

'Tough economic situation' blamed for cutbacks

Eurostar is cutting a number of underperforming trains between London St Pancras, Brussels Midi and Paris Nord with effect from December 13.

Between Monday and Friday the number of trains running between London and the Belgian capital will fall from 10 to nine a day. Weekend services remain unchanged.

In the case of London-Paris the current maximum number of daily trains will be cut from 19 to 18 between Monday and Friday. The Sunday service remains unchanged but there will be one less train on a Saturday.
