New Waterloo property

Well known for its Spanish portfolio of hotels, the hotel chain H10 has announced its first property in the UK - A 177 room hotel near to London's Waterloo Station.

Along with its 144 standard rooms, 32 deluxe rooms and one suite, the H10 property also offers such facilities as the Circus Bar, Three 0 Two Restaurant, and the Despacio Beauty Centre, complete with fitness centre and sauna.

For business  or lesure functions, the hotel has four meeting rooms accommodating up to 55 guests.

Ideally situated at the southeast end of Waterloo Road, the hotel is within walking distance of both and mainline and underground stations. 

New InterContinental hotel coming to New York

Scheduled to open in July 2010, the new - build InterContinental New York Times Square will be located just west of the Square on 44th Street, just a short walk to Broadway and Fifth Avenue, and an ideal spot for visitors to the city.

Wrapped with floor-to-ceiling windows, the 36-story hotel will feature uninterrupted and extensive views of Manhattan from virtually every one of it's 607 guestrooms. Each room will average 350 square feet, including an oversized bathroom complete with walk-in showers. For those guests looking for something extra special, the hotel will offer 29 corner suites, and a 2,700 foot duplex Presidential Suite showcasing panoramic views of Times Square, Broadway, the New York City skyline and the Hudson River.

As a Conference and Event venue, the hotel will feature 10 meeting rooms and a 4,000 square foot ballroom, in addition to 25 flexible suites.  It's location is one of the closest hotels to Javits Convention Centre. 

Cairo welcomes Kempinski

May this year sees the opening of the new Kempinski Nile Hotel , becoming the first luxury boutique hotel in Cairo designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon.

With a prime location directly on the banks of the Nile, it promises a blend of European luxury and charm with the exotic bustle of the city.

An exclusive opening package with rates from Euros 200 including breakfast will be available  until the end of June.

Pestana to open Chelsea Bridge Hotel

This month sees the opening of the Portugese chain's first property in the UK, with the opening of the 4 star Pestana Chelsea Brige Hotel in London.

Located on Queenstown Road, just south of Chelsea Bridge and opposite Battersea Park, the 216-room property features a restaurant and lounge, bar and coffee shop, together with six meeting rooms catering up to 500 delegates. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, sauna and treatment rooms.

The hotel is conveniently located close to Battersea Park rail station, with Sloane Square tube stop and London Victoria station both around 15 minutes away.

Rooms include king-size or twin beds, wifi internet access, iPod docking stations, and separate bath and shower, while selected rooms also feature exercise bikes as standard.

The hotel also features a Club Floor, with benefits including complimentary hot breakfast, tea and coffee throughout the day, evening snacks and an honesty bar.
