BA proposed strike

Medway Travel is constantly monitoring the latest news...

Following the announcement from BA of proposed strike dates, we have been reviewing all individual client bookings that may be affected, and considering potential alternative arrangements where possible.

At the time of writing, strikes have taken place on 20th, 21st and 22nd March with proposed action on 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th March.

BA has given us this initial information, though this is subject to change.

  • Subsidiary, franchise, codeshare and alliance flights to operate normally
  • BA flights to/from London City to operate normally
  • From/ to Heathrow / Gatwick - some flights will operate normally , some flights will operate using BA aircraft operating a different style of onboard service, and other flights will be cancelled. All flights from/to Gatwick to destinations outside Europe will be operating normally.

For affected flights, the airline is offering clients the choice of rebooking to another BA service  up to 355 days in the future, or cancelling with a full refund, if your specific flight is cancelled. For further cancellations during this strike period, refunds will be  be dependent on the latest update from BA.
