London City Airport update
A terminal worth waiting for...
London City Airport have found that their passengers are are using online check-in far more than traditional check-in desks. This means that on occasion during the busy periods this is having a knock-on effect at passenger search.
They are now responding to this by building additional security lanes, and whilst doing so will be taking the opportunity to expand the departure lounge, providing travellers with more space and comfort when they travel through the airport.
This is a multi-million pound project which will involve significant reconfiguration of the existing terminal building. The project is intended to be complete by autumn 2010.
The airport would like to thank their passengers for their patience during the upcoming project - and add that it will be worth the wait!
