Bloww, London

Bloww is situated just off Regent Street between Mayfair and Soho, and is a state of the art salon and spa that is available as a corporate party space. It can accommodate up to 200 for a champagne and cocktail party, has kitchen facilities and a team of hair and beauty specialists who are available to provide services for corporate pampering days as part of a package.

Fairmont Vier Jahreszeitented, Hamburg

Fairmont hotels has announced the opening of a new German property in Hamburg. The hotel is set on the western side of Inner Alster Lake shore and features 157 rooms and suites, four restaurants, two bars, a spa and fitness facility and approximately 619 square metres of function space. The hotel is within walking distance of the harbour, State Opera and Congress Centre.

Opera House, Bournemouth

This Victorian Theatre reopened this month with two spacious rooms for private functions. The Gallery can host 400 for receptions, while the auditorium is ideal for conferences and product launches for up to 1,800 delegates. There are also Two Royal Boxes seating 20 each and 12 private booths to complete the offering.

 

Villahotel Athena, Miami

Villazzo, the contemporary Miami based hotel company, has opened two new luxury residences for small incentive groups seeking an opulent abode for private hire. The Villahotel Athena overlooks the Biscayne Bay and features the facilities of a five star hotel but with the discreet ambience of a private residence. The main house, guest house, boat house and cabana are all set by tiered pools connected by walkways, and enhanced by the well equipped office, gym and private cinema. The sister property Villahotel Los Fuentes is set in a Baroque-style mansion in close proximity to South Beach.

Church House, London

In the shadows of Westminster Cathedral, Church House is a Grade II listed building that recently reopened following a £3.1m refurbishment. There are 19 spacious rooms, the largest of which, the Assembly Hall, has been upgraded. Tiered seating has been replaced with a level floor, meaning the hall now has space for up to 372 people seated. 650 standing or 664 theatre style. The Hoare Memorial Hall, which is often used in conjunction with the Aseembly Hall has a small stage and balcony and can accommodate up to 250 guests for a reception or 140 for dinner. The Sir Herbert Baker room can seat up to 30 guests and the Robert Runcie Room can accommodate up to 150.

Hilton, Limerick

Hilton's latest addition to it's Irish portfolio is a seven storey property with 184 rooms and a dedicated meetings floor with seven conference rooms, plus a ballroom with space for 350 delegates.

Corporate hospitality does not have to  be purely  team building or sport related.  Many companies today are looking to the Entertainment industry to offer corporate hospitality and a number of hospitality packages are being offered.

Royal Opera House

This landmark theatre has a range of hospitality options that have entertained the likes of Estee Lauder, Waitrose, Audi and BP.  Options include an evening in the Royal Box, which comprises a personal welcome, private butler, use of the royal retiring room for hospitality, a private backstage tour and the option of watching the cast take curtain calls from the wings.

Evening sponsorship entitles groups to 30 tickets and programmes, priority booking for guaranteed best seats, use of entertainment spaces for hospitality, backstage tours, introduction to the production by a member of the company, the option to invite the cast to post-performance receptions and dinners, and event management from the in house team.

English National Opera

ENO have hosted hospitality for the likes of Ernst and Young, Royal Sun Alliance, Pricewaterhousecoopers, Morgan Stanley and Coutts.  Bespoke hospitality packages, combining tickets, meals and backstage tours, are available.  A three course dinner or buffet in a private dinning room, hampers in a private box and canapé receptions are among the catering options on offer fro groups of six to 250.

Alternative packages include West End theatre evenings and Summer concerts at some of the most well known historic houses in the country.

Today you can mix business with pleasure as many of the UK's Theme Parks maximise on their income by offering corporate days out.

Woburn Safari Park and Port Lympne in Kent both offer great packages including evening safaris, on site corporate facilities, sleep outs, and evening dinner dances.

Alton Towers and Drayton Manor both run corporate fun days. 

Drayton Manor has three large venues, the Tower, Hamilton and Missanda suites that can cater for up to 500 people and has plans for an on site hotel. 

Alton Towers already uses its two hotels for corporate events and as well as the well known rides, such as Oblivion and Spinball Wizard, they offer marquee space next to the rides for hire for group evenings. Last month also saw the launch of Extraordinary Golf, an elaborate miniature 18 hole golf course themed around the park's signature rides and attractions.  Although the park closes at 5pm, there are special evening deals on offer for event planners, including exclusive use of Cariba Creek Water Park.

Finally if you are looking for something more exciting in London then why not consider London Zoo.  They offer a meetings experience offered no where else. With it's Gorilla Kingdom and African Bird Aviary, particular attractions.  There is a lecture theatre for 200 complete with breakout rooms.  Animal encounters are available to enhance your event, with hippos having their teeth cleaned and feeding the giraffes and penguins on offer.  Conferences and events held each year at the zoo help also to raise funds for conservation projects.

15 years ago conference space was a scarce commodity on Mauritius.  Now with the opening of a 17,000 square metre convention centre and a network of new conference resorts.  Although the flight is 12 hours this is countered by the four hour time difference making Mauritius a realistic option.  The previous shortage of five star resorts has been addressed with a string of new luxury hotels which have taken the bed count to around 10,500.  Hotels such as Beachcombers' Shandrani hotel south of the island just fifteen minutes form the airport and the Four Seasons 90 suite, 29 villa hotel located on the island's east coast.
