Down Hall Country House Hotel (on the border of Hertfordshire and Essex)

Restaurants
Ibbetsons: fine dining, two rosette AA award winning restaurant featuring seasonal cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. Seats 30.

Informal, relaxed atmosphere featuring traditional English fare with a modern twist. Has an enviable reputation for Sunday lunch. Seats 65.Extensive wine cellar serves both restaurants

Meetings & Conferences
The team at Down Hall has a specialist expertise in supporting bespoke corporate events - from residential study and training through to outdoor team building including motivational sporting activities (i.e. quad biking, archery, giant chess, croquet, gun dogs, duck herding and clay pigeon shooting).
Down Hall is one of the largest conference and banqueting venues in the area, offering 26 stunning training and event rooms, flooded with natural daylight. High ornate ceilings and a calm atmosphere help motivate delegates to think far outside the box!
All meeting rooms are fully equipped with contemporary presentation technology, including wireless Internet access and ISDN.
Conference and meetings rates are tailored to meet budgets and requirements. The venue can cater for small to large scale events with a maximum conference capacity of 200. Delegate rates can be tailor made to suit all requirements.
Weddings
Down Hall is the most perfect and idyllic setting for a wedding and is renowned for its spectacular views and efficient service. The wedding team work diligently around the clock to ensure a wedding that is special, magical and memorable.
The venue is able to stage Civil Ceremonies in the Harley or Prior Suite.
The venue's beautiful exterior and façade, coupled with picturesque gardens and natural woodland offer an excellent backdrop for wedding photography.
Award-winning cuisine enables Down Hall to provide fresh, seasonal wedding menus - catering for up to 180 family and friends inside or for 500 by erecting a marquee in the garden for an outdoor event.
The dedicated wedding team is on hand to advise and take care of every aspect of a wedding. The team can additionally help with pre-Ceremony celebrations, offering a wide variety of leisure facilities and sports activities.
Down Hall can offer a set price wedding option: including: room hire, drinks reception, appetisers, four course menu, half bottle of wine per person, glass of toast champagne, linen, flowers, cake stand, evening buffet and special room hire rates for wedding guests. Price per head is £140 - not including registrar and legal costs.

Conference in Regents Park (a quiet haven in Central London)
Regent's College enjoys an excellent reputation as a centre of University level education. It is a private independent college, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, research and a range of short courses.
Beautiful lawns, formal gardens and stunning lakes surround the college, making you forget that you are in the middle of London.
The Conference Centre not only offers a quiet haven from the noise and pollution of the busy West End (only half a mile away) but it's professional conference and meeting facilities also offer an attractive yet affordable alternative to many hotels in London.
All year round the numerous seminar and meeting rooms can be adapted to suit every need, from small interview style meetings to conferences for up to 370 delegates.
In the summer months the beautiful grounds can be utilised for corporate or private functions for up to 500 guests.

Royal Pavilion Brighton (for a truly regal setting)
Brighton is a sparkling, stylish and very special city by the sea. It has been a fashionable seaside resort since the eighteenth century, when the relaxed charm of the little fishing town of Brighthelmstone and the presence of George, Prince of Wales, made it the place to be for Regency high society.
The Royal Pavilion is the former seaside residence of King George IV and is lavishly decorated in Chinese style with an Indian exterior. Built for King George IV, the Pavilion was also used by William IV and Queen Victoria. Originally a farmhouse, in 1787 architect Henry Holland created a neo-classical villa on the site. It was transformed into Indian style by John Nash between 1815 and 1823.
Apart from being one of the most important tourist attractions, the Brighton Royal Pavilion can also be booked for corporate events for which an outstanding setting is required.
The smaller rooms can take up to 60 people, larger rooms up to 90 people and the music room can accommodate 180 people.

West Dean Conference Centre (on a South Downs estate)
West Dean conference centre is housed on a 6,000 acre estate in the South Downs and surrounded by gardens featuring some of the finest Victorian glasshouses in the country.
Conference rooms are furnished with art and antiques. There are break out rooms as well as a choice of art and craft studios where tutored courses can be arranged for delegates.
The area can accommodate activities and team building exercises, including guided walks, clay pigeon shooting and marquee hire.

East Malling Conference Centre (flexible facilities in the Garden of England)
Set in 200 hectares of soft fruit orchards, East Malling conference centre in Kent has a 200 seat air-conditioned auditorium.
Furthermore the conference centre offers five meeting rooms, suitable for 2 to 200 delegates. For medium sized meetings, the Thomas Neame room seats up to 100 delegates and the garden room seats up to 50.
For smaller meetings, there are two versatile rooms, which can be used independently or opened up to create one larger room for up to 30 delegates.
A large foyer area of up to 230 square metres can be used for exhibitions, receptions and refreshment breaks provided by on site caterers.

New Venues
The Magic Circle - London
The Magic Circle was founded in 1905 and can now be hired in it's entirety offering a 162 seat theatre and two function rooms.
Within minutes of London's Euston Station each function room can hold 80 to 100 people and it's three floors are packed with displays and posters from The Magic Circle archives. Magical entertainment can be provided for your event and the venue also has it's own conference host and facilitator.

The Tate Modern - London
The Tate Modern has opened two spaces on the 11th Floor for event use. The glass walled East Room overlooks the Thames and the restaurant holds up to 250 with views of St Paul's Cathedral and the City.
