Myself and my partner had an amazing holiday and cannot fault anything. We would llike to thank Mel at Medway for all that she arranged for us especially the hotel rooms in both countries, they were FANTASTIC!
Having our Medway Travel pack to take away with us, helped us to relax and know that our holiday bookings were in safe hands and we had everything we needed.
We were certainly worn out when we got home after all the touring and walking, but we have seen so much and made lots of memories from both Iceland and New York. We were unfortunate to not see the Northern Lights because of the weather, but hopefully we will get another oportunity in the future as this is something we certainly would like to tick off our list of things to see!!
We will certainly be booking with Medway Travel for any trips we look to plan in the future, this was a great help.

Rachel and I had a great time thank you; you’ll be pleased to hear that everything worked perfectly. The hotels were lovely (I particularly enjoyed the spa one where I had a massage after the kayaking!). The ones in Vancouver and Victoria were particularly well located for everything we wanted to do. The seaplane was a little bit on the hairy side, but fortunately, they allowed us to take all of our luggage on the flight, rather than it arriving later.
We saw so much wildlife on our kayaking trip, just not any orcas until the last hour we had at the campsite and they were a bit far away. That said, we heard them on the hydrophone (which was just spine tingling!) that was set up on camp and we decided to go on a boat trip off Victoria when we saw some very close up! The cities of Victoria and Vancouver are fantastic and I would recommend anyone to visit them.
Attached are a few photos, I hope you like them, and please don't hesitate to use them with my testimonial. The two orca ones are from the boat trip off Victoria, the city scene is a view from Stanley Park of Vancouver and the night scene one is the Government building and the inner harbour of Victoria.
Thanks so much for your help in arranging this holiday, we had a great time.
Kind regards

Hello Medway Travel,
Absolutely wonderful holiday…. made every connection and all was seamless. Would definitely recommend Rimrock Ranch to anyone.
Hotels in Hill city were great. Covered about 1000 miles, in a nice and steady pace.
The other gem, was a hotel we stayed at in Buffalo, Wyoming on the way to Big Horn. The OCCIDENTAL- voted best hotel in the west, and we can see why. A refurbished bordello, all with antiques etc. a fabulous experience and restaurant.
Planning another big one out east sometime, and would use you again for ideas and booking, Mel.
Many thanks.

Hi Medway Travel,
Had a FANTASTIC time.
The ranch was a delight. Had a superb time in Yellowstone, Vegas was a triumph, the Canyon was just too much for words, and piccies don't do it justice. and we wanted more time in Frisco. So, all in all it was pretty successful....
One sour note, the wife eloped with the chopper pilot (Just kidding)
Might be looking to do something like this again next year. Will let you know after new year if there's anything to be planned.
Thanks for all your patient help

Dear Astra,
A contact just to let you know that the cruise to see the Northern Lights that you arranged for my partner and myself was absolutely superb. Your arrangements worked perfectly and the trip was perfectly memorable.
I cannot compliment Medway Travel highly enough and also the Hertigruten Line with whom we travelled on the ship “Nordlys”. All was great!
Yours sincerely, with many thanks for your efforts on my behalf,

Dear Mel,
Thank you for your email and phone call. We had a splendid time in Ieper. The hotel was very welcoming and comfortable and the travel arrangements went without a hitch. One small problem you might care to look into - the weather!!
It poured until Sunday lunchtime!!
Seriously, thank you for all your efforts. it was a very welcome break and we look forward to Oberammergau next September.

Dear Astra,
Just a quick note to thank you for the holiday you put together for us in the Rockies and Alaska.
We returned yesterday having had a fabulous time. All your connections and arrangements went like clockwork.
I will complete and return the questionnaire, but I wanted to drop you a personal "thank you" for such wonderful organisation and personal service. We shall certainly sing your praises with our friends and consult you with our future holiday plans.

Hi,
A big thank you, we had a blast.
The hotels at Grand Canyon Sth Rim and especially the Desert Rose Inn at Bluff were far better than expected. From Bluff we explored the Navajo Nation as well as Monument Valley & Navajo Monument - Bluff is far nicer than Kayenta and well worth the extra 50 mile drive.
Many thanks again.

Hi Mel,
Wow, what an absolutely amazing experience! Well worth every single penny.
I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. I would also recommend the time of year we went as perfect.
-It was not too cold (max cold it got was -25. Normally was around -5 to -10 with about -16 wind chill factor when on the sleds)
-there was still plenty of snow (we were waste deep when we jumped in it)
-sun is out, and can wear sunglasses, and can only sometimes needed to wear a balaclava, so we could really
experience the fresh air.
Food was good. The staple diet is reindeer and salmon, but even if you aren’t very fond of either, there is still plenty of other food to eat. Some days were chicken, sausage, lamb. There were potatoes, pasta, eggs and bacon for breakfast. Or muesli and yoghurt. Basically, something for everyone!
The wilderness cabins let you experience life in a completely different way, and they are clean and cosy. I loved the saunas!
The dogs are friendly, and once you got to know them, there was always a cuddle available!
Our guide was Petri, and he always entertained us with stories, and his sense of humour is something we all missed as soon as we said goodbye to him once we were back at the main resort. He is also a very good cook! Looked after us well.
The main resort was also very accommodating.
-One our first night, we were driven a few km’s away from the main hotel, as it was full, and we stayed in cabins. This did not bother us- it was only for one night, and we were picked up for breakfast first thing in the morning.
On the Friday, when we arrived back from our 4 nights in the wilderness, we were put in another house/cabin- which was BEAUTIFUL! Wow, I’d love to have a house like that. It was right on the river. We walked into Muonio the next morning, and then in the afternoon we moved into the hotel for the last night.
They had a rock band playing on the last night which was a lot of fun.
The flight back was well organised, and on time.
Very very happy with the entire experience.
Kind regards,
Fiona Bain - Harriniva Wilderness Husky Safari

Hi Astra,
We had a really wonderful time thankyou. All your arrangements for us worked so well. At Stansted we asked if Frances could have special assistance, and the help we received was so helpful and courteous. She was whisked
by wheelchair through to the plane, and the same the other side.
The helper showed us where to catch the S Bahn train to the main Munich station, and we easily found our train to Murnau, and then onto Oberammergau. We found our accommodation easily, and were delighted to see how near the theatre we were. Our hostess was charming, and all our meals were really good, as was our room. We were warmly welcomed wherever we went by the villagers, and met many who were involved directly in the play.
The play was superb, and although we had chosen the cheapest seats, we could see really well. It was a fantastic , so professional, so moving. We had plenty of time to explore the beautiful village, until it was time to return. Following your advice regarding the time, we had an unhurried, easy journey. At the airport, we were fortunate to have special assistance again, which saved Frances extra walking.
Thankyou so much, we were delighted with your service, and your helpfulness, and professionalism, we will definitely recommend you to others, and hope to use your service again in the not-too-distant future.
Kind regards,

Everything on your part was really well organised, thank you.
Value for money was good.
All in all a fantastic trip, and would go back again for definite

Hi Medway Leisure Travel,
Ann and I had a wonderful trip. Absolutely everything went according to plan. Initially we were waiting for something not to happen or for someone not to pick us up but things happened as planned, we chilled and had a brilliant time.
Quite glad, following Friday's news, that we are now back in UK but a smashing country, people and experience.
Big thank you to Medway Travel for arranging things for us,

Hi,
V fed up to be back home. The holiday was fantastic - totally exceeded all expectations, so well done to you for arranging it for us. I would recommend this type of holiday to any family - we really bonded with our Explore group and the hotel at the end was v sumptuous - almost a bit of a shock after the roughing it in the hills.
We will be back to you for our next adventure!
Thank you

Hi Astra,
I meant to e-mail you when we got back, but we were busy moving house and I completely forgot, sorry!
We had an amazing honeymoon, everything ran so smoothly and was just as you promised! All the drivers were on time and we didn't have to think about what time to leave the hotel or how to get anywhere like we normally do, perfect!
The Traders hotel in KL was just amazing, such a fantastic location and I think we had the best view in the entire city. The first night we were there we sat in our window and had room service partly due to jetlag and partly as the view was just so good. The first day we were there the hotel left us a chocolate fondue in the room with a congratulations, such a nice touch, and not the only one!
We had a lovely relaxing 7 days at the Nexus. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and a good price
range. Other than wine nothing was particularly expensive. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and we felt that nothing was too much trouble. We had some lovely evenings at the beachfront restaurant, and a lovely evening where we had an individual BBQ and LOTS of food to cook! Although we had this as a completely relaxed 7 days due to doing things at the beginning and the end of the holiday we saw a few excursions etc if people wanted to do more than we did!
We would highly recommend the "Wonders of nature" tour to anyone, it was such an amazing tour to do, I will never forget those baby turtles running into the sea. Sepilok is an amazing place and seeing the orang-utans in their 'natural' environment was fantastic. All of the accommodation on the tour was much nicer than we expected, very basic obviously, but all clean and we obviously weren't in the room that often over those 3 days anyway! All of the guides were fab, very knowledgeable and friendly.
The Rasa-Ria on the last night looked lovely but we didn't get there until 10pm and had to leave at 3am. Looking back we should probably have stayed at a hotel close to the airport as there was no point in staying at a resort for that night. It is a shame we didn't get longer there though as it really did look a lovely place!
Thankyou so much for all of your help arranging such a fantastic honeymoon, we had an amazing time. I would definately book with you again, maybe when we have saved some money we can go away for an anniversary.....I'll let you know!!
If you would like to know anything else just let me know!
Thanks again,

Mel,
Thanks for your email. We had the most wonderful time and cannot recommend you, Canada and the Three Bars Ranch highly enough! We fully intend returning to Canada, possibly as soon as next year so will let you know if and when we decide how and what to do.
We'd love to go back to the ranch but would also love to see more of Canada so we're thinking of either hiring an RV and driuving across the country or maybe even going on a train trip across the country. My mum is also very keen to go and I already have friends looking at the ranch for a trip later this year.

Dear Medway Travel,
Having got back last night from our trip to the Nile- a cruise plus a stay in Luxor - I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the whole experience.
We are experienced travellers having lived in many countries and travelled widely, and our standards are high, and I can honestly say that the whole Nile experience, thanks to your company, Discover Egypt and Viking was absolutely top class.
The cruise ship, the guides, the general comfort and attention were outstanding- the food too was good, which is not always the case in Egypt, and all in all we were very well looked after and cared for by some very helpful people.
The attention to detail and organisation on board and on shore were really very impressive and contributed to a stress free holiday- what more could one ask for!
Thanks for your part in organising the trip, please pass this message on to Discover Egypt.
Yours sincerely

Mel,
Apologies for the delay in replying to your earlier ’Welcome home’ email – I have been swamped at work since returning from India.
We had the most amazing holiday and saw so many incredible things that we were almost overwhelmed. I attach a sample of the over 500 photos we took( I am sure you will have seen pictures like these many time, but they are special to us !!)
Generally the arrangements worked exceptionally well – there was a glitch when we were handed our travel documents at Nagpur and we noticed the day sightseeing in Delhi had been missed off – however a couple of phone calls from Pench and all was resolved and all was fine.
The accommodation generally was very good – Tiger Trails at Bandhavgarh was probably the worst, while Pench, Agra and Delhi were outstanding – the agents you use in Agra were first class – the best guide, driver etc and also the most helpful.
Some of our experiences were never to be forgotten – our first Tiger at Kanha (the male in the pictures above – only 3 mtrs away!), the overnight train from Umaria, the traffic in Delhi – the list could go on for ever !!!
Many thanks for organizing our trip – rest assured it was time well spent !!!
We will sadly have to wait some time for our next big trip as we have done two in the last 6 months, but when we decide where we are thinking of, we will be in touch.
Thanks again

Dear Medway Travel,
The holiday was fantastic! The hotel was excellent, with the huge breakfasts setting us up for the day.
We saw a phenomenal display of the Northern Lights on Sunday evening - pale green moving streaks filled the whole sky for at least 90 minutes. Apparently the show was not as fabulous as sometimes occurs but it bowled
us over and was more entrancing then we had dared hope.
We filled the days with loads of activities. Probably the highlight was driving our own dog sledge for two hours. We were surprised to be given full control of the dogs, but they knew what to do and pulled us magnificently. We only fell off once!
Generally, it was not as cold as we expected - never above freezing but never less than -5 deg C in Tromso. The inland dog sledging was much colder at -18 deg but the operator kitted us out in great clothing.
Marks out of 10? At least 11, so thanks very much. Keep us on your mailing list as we would definitely consider using Medway again, maybe to somewhere hot next time.
Many thanks,
Andy & Sue Ellis - Northern Lights City Break

Hi Mel.
Thanks for your message.
I'm pleased to say that we had a wonderful holiday and full marks go to the organisation.
The hotel and cruise ship were fine although the food was a bit lacking in variety.
Our tour guides in Cairo and Luxor were both very good, and all transfers, transport and arrangements generally ran like clockwork.
I shall happily recommend Medway (and GAT) to anyone thinking of a similar visit to Egypt.
Thank you for all your efforts.

Hi,
Thank you for your email.
We returned from Cairo on Thursday evening and I am back at work today.
Can I congratulate your Company on providing a wonderful holiday for my wife and I.
All arrangenents were perfect and we were met and escorted from the point of arrival at Luxor.
The cruise on the Nile was excellent and the accomodation, food and general arrangements were very good.
The Guide, Gelal was very knowledgable and really gave us very good information on all the amazing sights of Egypt.
Our Guide only had the two of us to look after, and although this may not be the norm, we fully appreciated this service.
I have other friends who have expressed a desire to go on the same trip and I shall definitely recommend your Company to them.
My thanks to you for arranging this holiday and I will have no reservations whatsoever to recommend your Compnay to others.
Kind Regards

Dear Astra and Mel,
Just a note to thank you both very much for putting together such a fantastic trip. We returned home on Friday afternoon after a month away and we haven't come back down to earth yet!
(Still not quite got over our jet lag either which is why I'm writing this at 6 am!)
Everything worked out fine - the flights were great, especially the new A380 from London - Singapore (I didn't want to get off!!) and apart from a bit of a hiccup at Perth when the check-in
lady told us we had too much luggage for an Economy flight (if you remember there was just that one Economy sector to Ayers Rock in our domestic flights), everything was excellent.
(We didn't have to pay excess baggage because when she actually put it all through her computer it accepted our baggage without query)
The limousine transfers were always waiting for us at the airport wherever we went and collected us very promptly from our accommodation to return to the airport.
We can heartily recommend all of the hotels/apartments we stayed in and I'm going to post lots of positive feedback on trip advisor. It was a great idea to stay in an apartment occasionally
to be able to do some washing and cook our own meals for a change. Highlights of our accommodation were - the breakfast at the Shangri-la in Singapore (more like a 5 course dinner!!),
the view of Ayers Rock from our balcony at the Desert Gardens (we had the room with the best view on the complex), the view of Sydney harbour (and the Opera House!) from our room in the
Intercontinental, the views of the Brisbane River and city from our balcony at the Medina, the friendliness of everyone at the Meridien in Port Douglas + the luxuriously appointed apartment
there. However, the best hotel of all, without a doubt, was the Omni in San Francisco. Everything about it was perfect - its location, the beautiful room but especially its amazing staff. We
have never encountered hotel staff like them - everyone you met from the receptionist (who took 15 minutes to talk us through places to visit, transport choices etc.), the concierge, to the chambermaid was just so friendly and welcoming. Every time we returned from an outing we were greeted with "Welcome back!" from everyone we met and we really felt they meant it.
Although we had the worst weather of the trip in San Fran (as you might expect!) it was undoubtedly one of the highlights - we loved it! In addition to your recommendations, Astra, we found
2 excellent restaurants - the Boudin Bistro (famous for the sour dough bread) on Fishermans Wharf where we had a great lunch and a lovely little Italian place called Tommaso's in North Beach.
As I've said everything worked like clockwork. The weather was mostly superb, especially in Perth and Port Douglas, but we even had lots of warm sunshine in Melbourne and Sydney. The only minor disappointment in our itinerary from a personal point of view was Cairns. I took a school trip there 12 years ago and thought it was lovely but it has gone quite "downmarket" since then, appealing more to the backpacker market. The Shangri-la in Cairns was nowhere near the same standard as the Shangri-la in Singapore and it rained for our 2 days there, although we loved the Kuranda train and cable car trip. If we did the same trip again we would spend 5 nights at Port Douglas and give Cairns a miss.
We really cannot thank you enough for all your excellent advice and for working so hard to put together such an amazing itinerary for our trip of a lifetime. Every 'i' was dotted and every 't' was crossed, we just had to 'go with the flow'! It has been an absolute pleasure dealing with you and we are already thinking about our next holiday which we will certainly be asking you to organise!
We would not hesitate to recommend your company to everyone we know. On both price and service you have been unsurpassable. Many thanks!
With our very kindest regards to you both
Sue & Iain - San Francisco and Australia Tailored Itinerary
PS - Thanks also to Mel for organising Fiona's trip - they are all so excited about it that they are already counting the days until Christmas!!
